T he Mark is proud to announce that we’ve won a Platinum Hermes Creative Award for our work on Scotiabank’s Heroes of Hockey Day in Canada.

The Hermes Creative award recognizes the best in Creative Media both in Canada and internationally. Heroes is a 22 episode series produced by The Mark for our client Scotiabank.

The Mark produced the series from end to end, from initial research right though to post-production. Building on two previous seasons we worked to make this season the biggest yet.



We searched the nation for teams that embodied the Scotia hockey values and found 3 teams that competed for a chance to win a trip to Scotiabank hockey day in Canada. We delivered new and creative content for 22 consecutive weeks which were broadcast across TV, digital & social from October 2016 through February 2017.

We reached over 2 million Canadians, with more than 6 million views and exceeded all targets set the by the client.

Receiving a Platinum Hermes Award for all work on this series is incredibly exciting for all of us here at The Mark.

The international award has an estimated 6,000 entries per year and the platinum award is the most prestigious award, given to those entries who scored above 90 points in the judging round.
