Our team

Jeff Anders

Founder and CEO

Jeff leads The Mark’s news publishing and content marketing groups. In that capacity he has overseen a publishing operation that produced documentaries filmed in 15 countries and 3,000+ articles written by global influencers. Jeff also specializes in data-driven decision making, a skill honed through five years in management consulting, roles on electoral campaigns, and as part of the founding team of a marketing analytics firm. Jeff holds degrees from McGill, MIT, and Harvard.

Matt Smith

Managing Director

Matt leads The Mark’s Strategy, Production, Accounts and Analytics teams. Prior to The Mark, Matt was the strategist on North America’s largest CRM programs, including Kraft’s 30MM+ household web, email and print program food & family, and similar programs in healthcare and B2B technology. Matt was also Managing Director at Innovation Grade Ventures – an early-stage investment firm where he held a variety of marketing and operating roles across the fund’s portfolio

Dr. Alison Burnham

Director of Data Science

Alison leads The Mark’s Data Science group, leveraging over 25 years of experience in applying data & analytics to a wide variety of applications including CRM, predictive analytics, business intelligence, loyalty programs, and credit risk analysis. The past 15 years have concentrated on customer value management and communications, covering a diversity of verticals across both B2B and B2C clients, including TD Bank, JP Morgan Chase, GE Capital, Esso, GM, Kraft, NBA and Fed Ex.

Elsa Morena

Director of Production

Elsa has overseen more than 500 productions across all of Canada and in more than 10 different countries. Her decade of experience in the film and TV industry has seen her work with clients in industries such as Finance, CPG, Automotive, Transportation, Energy, Government and NFP.

Mike Zablocki

Director of Accounts

Mike leads The Mark’s accounts team, bringing the highest level of delivery and brand-focused solutions to every piece of business. In previous roles on the account teams at TAXI and Publicis, Mike worked with an outstanding group of clients – WestJet, TransCanada, Dairy Queen, Canada Post, University of Toronto, and The Knowledge Network.
